Weekly Boost: How I Manifested a Trip to China
The surprising power of alignment, AI hacks, and a little extra sleep
It’s funny how the things you’re not desperate for seem to manifest so effortlessly, isn’t it? That’s exactly what happened with my dream trip to China. It’s a story I still shake my head at sometimes, wondering, How did that even happen? But it did—and that’s the magic of dreaming big while learning to let go.
This week, I launched a new segment on the podcast called Bold Boost. It’s all about celebrating wins, sharing uplifting stories, and diving into practical tips and challenges to help you thrive in work and life. If you’ve already listened—thank you so much for tuning in! And if not, no worries—this post is the perfect place to dive in.But if you have time, take a minute to listen to it, it’s only 15 mins.
How I Manifested a Trip to China 🌏
Last year, I was chatting with my parents about places we’d love to visit. My dad mentioned Tokyo and how much he wanted to explore Asia. Naturally, China came up in the conversation. Without thinking too hard about it, I found myself saying, “You know, I’d love to go to China too, but only if it’s a luxury, all-expenses-paid trip—like those influencer brand trips.”
Now, let me be clear: I’m not an influencer (well not yet, haha 😉), and at the time, going to China wasn’t even on my radar. It was just a fun little daydream. One of those wouldn’t it be nice? moments that you let float off into the universe.
Fast forward a few months. I applied to the Cartier Women’s Initiative—a prestigious fellowship offering funding and support for women entrepreneurs. I knew it was a long shot, but I also knew I had nothing to lose. Months later, I got the email: I was one of the winners!
And here’s where it gets wild: the award ceremony was in Shenzhen, China. But it wasn’t just any trip. Cartier flew us out, put us in gorgeous accommodations, and created this incredible, first-class experience. It was everything I’d imagined—and so much more.
The biggest lesson? Manifestation works best when you let go. Dream big. Pray about it. Say it out loud. Then, trust it will come together in the right time and in ways you can’t even imagine. Everything always works best when its on God’s timing.
My Favorite AI Tip for This Week 🤖
Okay, switching gears—let’s talk tools! You know I’m all about working smarter, not harder, and one AI hack I’ve been loving lately is prompt engineering. It’s such a game-changer.
Here’s how you can use it:
Be specific and set a role. For example: “Act as a McKinsey consultant who specializes in working with AI startups and help me with the pricing strategy for these three products” This transforms the results into something way more helpful and tailored to your needs.
Use AI for task prioritization. Create a brain dump of all your tasks (work, personal, health) and ask ChatGPT, “What’s urgent? What aligns with my goals? What can wait?” It’s like having a personal assistant that keeps you focused.
Book Recommendation: Conscious Luck 📚
This week’s book rec is Conscious Luck: Eight Secrets to Intentionally Change Your Fortune by Gay Hendricks. It’s a fascinating read about cultivating luck as a skill rather than something you’re born with. Hendricks dives into actionable ways to create opportunities and develop a mindset that attracts success. If you’ve ever felt like luck is something other people have, this book will change your mind—and your life.
This Week’s Challenge: 9 Hours of Sleep 🛌
Finally, let’s talk about rest. If you’ve been skimping on sleep, this week’s challenge is simple: get 9 hours a night for seven days. I know, it sounds like a lot, but hear me out. Better sleep isn’t just about feeling rested—it’s about showing up sharper, more creative, and ready to take on whatever the day throws your way.
There you have it: manifestation, tools, a must-read book, and a challenge to level up your week. What’s one thing you’re dreaming about right now? Let me know—I’d love to cheer you on as you call it into existence.
